The Gaza Water Crisis
The devastation caused by relentless bombings has destroyed much of Gaza’s water and sanitation infrastructure. Survivors now face not only war, famine, and displacement but also an extreme water shortage.
Over 70% of people in Gaza are forced to drink contaminated water, leading to disease and suffering. Families are resorting to collecting rainwater just to survive. Raw sewage is flowing unchecked, contaminating water sources and spreading deadly illnesses. Children are the most vulnerable, at risk of dehydration, malnutrition, and infection.
Water is a Human Right
Water is meant to sustain life, not endanger it. Yet, the people of Gaza are being denied this basic necessity. To survive, they need a reliable supply of clean water, proper sanitation, and improved hygiene.
